The Field day on Integrated Disease Management in Ginger under Frontline Demonstration was conducted at Torenuru village on 10th December 2021. The Ginger crop was grown in a one-acre area with all the Integrated disease management technologies like Spraying of Pseudomonas florescence 5 ml per lit., Drenching of Arka Microbial Consortium 20 gm per lit during June and August, Soil application of Trichoderma enriched with FYM and drenching of Metalaxyl + Mancozeb 2 gm per lit was demonstrated. About 46 farmers, officials from Horticulture department participated in the programme.
During the field day Shri. Devaiah K.A, SMS (Horticulture) explained about the important recent technologies of Ginger cultivation right from the sowing, spacing and Integrated nutrient. Shri. Veerendra Kumar K.V, SMS (Plant Protection) explained to the farmers about the Integrated disease management technologies implemented for management of disease in Ginger and also recorded the yield parameter of the plot. A field visit to FLD plot were all arranged as part of the field day programme.
