In KVK farm we are having piggery demo unit where Duroc and Large white Yorkshire breed of pigs were maintained. We are producing around 100 piglets per year of both breeds. Duroc breed having a quality of lean meat production where as Yorkshire breed has fast growth rate with higher litter size. The piglets produced from the unit were distributed to the local farmers with nominal charge and preference is given to those farmers who have got training on piggery from the KVK.
