Twenty Six Final year students of BSc (Agri) from College of Agriculture, Mandya were placed at KVK-Gonikoppal, Kodagu for one-week long training program from 6/12/2021 to 12/12/2021. On first day, students were taught about KVK system, mandate and its functioning. The students were given exposure and taken to various agro-industries located in Kodagu district like coffee curing industry, orange juice factory, bamboo processing unit, candle factory, bee keeping, Puthari Farmers producer company Ltd. etc.

A farm visit was also arranged to Athur farm of KVK-Gonikoppal, where students gained a wide practical exposure and experience about AGRO-AWS, animal science unit, coffee and pepper plantation and nursery unit of KVK. The latest scientific of management practices in plantation sector were discussed. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Prabhakara b, SMS(Horticulture) and Dr. Harish, SMS(Agrometeorology).
