A Training programme on Horticulture based Integrated Farming System held at ICAR - Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gonikoppal on 29th September 2020 in collaboration with IIHR, Bengaluru. Fifteen members of Coffee and Black pepper tribal growers co-operative Sanga, Maldare attended the programme under TSP. The participants were updated knowledge on relevance of integrated farming system and support from different line departments for tribal farmers.

Also given first-hand information on vegetable cultivation (Drumstick, mushrooms, Yard long bean, French bean, Bottle gourd and Coriander in the back yard and planting of fruit plants (Mango, Guava) in the coffee-based farming system for nutrition and economic security of tribal farmers. After the training programme provided all the farmers with IIHR released seeds and planting material. Dr. Saju George, Principal Scientist and Head, Mr. Prabhakar, SMS(Horticulture) coordinated the programme with assistance of Mr. Benecio (Computer programmer) and Mr. Thabrez.
