ICAR- KVK Gonikoppal conducted a special four days training programme on livestock intervention, for the flood and landslide affected farmers of Surlabbi village (Garvale panchayat) of Somwarpet taluk in association with Kalike- Tata Trusts Kodagu, from 28th – 31st January 2020.

In total 95 farmers attended the programme. During the training farmers were shown videos on livestock management and later given practical exposure on livestock (Backyard poultry, Piggery) at KVK Athur farm. This training programme will be helpful for landslide affected farmers in restoring their livelihood activities and providing regular income through livestock intervention. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Suresh S.C, SMS (livestock).
