The training programme on Scientific irrigation in Robusta Coffee was successfully conducted at ICAR-KVK, Gonikoppal in collaboration with PUTHARI Farmers Producers Organization on the 30th January 2020. 71 farmers participated in this programme and the Scientific experts who shared their expertise were, Dr. Shivprasad DDR, CRSS and Dr. Govindappa, Agronomist, CRSS. They explained the theoretical knowledge about irrigation scheduling and other scientific aspects involved in coffee cultivation, followed by & Dr. Chandrashekar SLO, Coffee Board, Aruvathoklu, who gave a talk about the subsidy scheme which can be availed by coffee farming community through Coffee Board to procure irrigation systems and construction of farm ponds

Later it was followed by a technical session from the company representatives of Premier Irrigation & Shakthi Pumps who shared their knowledge about the Irrigation systems and their functions.
