ICAR-KVK Gonikoppal, Kodagu in collaboration with Puthari FPCL organised the distribution of 500 Kadaknath poultry birds to the members of the Puthari FPCL on 17th January 2020, at KVK Gonikoppal campus. This marked the beginning of Puthari FPCL’s venture into animal husbandry as a new activity.

Dr.Suresh S.C SMS (Livestock) inaugurated the programme and he spoken about the feeding, management and health benefits of consuming Kadaknath meat and their eggs. He also emphasized on the economic benefits of the eggs and meat of Kadaknath birds. After the programme, a training on animal husbandry was also conducted at KVK Athur farm by Dr.Suresh S.C. About 40 members attended the programme.
