ICAR-KVK Gonikoppal along with Kodagu Kennel club, Pollibetta and Karnataka Veterinary Association Kodagu jointly organised the 14th State level Dog show at GMP School ground, Gonikoppal on 24th December 2019. Dr, Narendra, president Karnataka Veterinary Council, Bengaluru, Dr. Azeemulla, Secretary, Silicon city Kennel club, Bengaluru and Dr. S.P Lokesh, Member, SCKC, Bengaluru were the Judges for the show. Dr. Deepak Appaiah president KKC, chaired the show. Dr. Basavaraju IFS, Asst. Conservator of forest, Kuduremuk National Park, Udupi and Dr. Saju George, Principal Scientist and Head, KVK were the chief guest for the show. The other dignitaries on the dais were Dr. K.P Aiyappa, Retd. DD, Dept of AH and VS, Dr. Shantesh, Secretary, KKC, Dr. Bhavishya Kumar, Treasurer, KKC, Pollibetta. Dr. Suresh S.C, SMS (livestock), KVK welcomed the dignitaries and Dr. Girish B.G, President, KVA Kodagu gave the vote of thanks.

In the show 102 dogs belonging to 24 different breeds were brought by the farmers of the district and state. All the dogs were vaccinated against rabies in the show and participants were given awareness on importance of vaccination of their pets. Rottweiler breed of Mr. Prathvi, Madikeri was the champion breed and German Shephard breed of Mr. Gaurav, Ponnampet was the second best of the show.
