ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gonikoppal, Kodagu observed the Vigilance awareness week from 28th October ,2019 to 2nd November, 2019. It commenced with the taking of the “Integrity Pledge” by all the KVK staff members on 28th October,2019 at 10am in KVK seminar hall, followed by a presentation on “Vigilance awareness” by Ms. Sahana Hegde SMS (Agrometrology). On 31st October,2019 ICAR-KVK Gonikoppal along with NABARD and Puthari FPO observed the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) along with Vigilance awareness week at KVK training hall. The programme commenced with taking of the “Ekta Pledge” by the KVK staff and Puthari FPO staff members. Head KVK, paid tribute to the Iron man of India Shri. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary and spoke about the importance of the day.

Mr. Srinivas, DDM, NADARB, Kodagu spoke about the importance of Vigilance awareness and asked the staff not to indulge in any practices of corruption and to report cases of corruption to the concerned authorities. Later a presentation on “How to tackle corruption” was given by Mr. Benecio Fernandes, Technical Assistant, followed by sharing of individual experiences of corruption in their personal lives by the KVK staff. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Suresh SMS (Livestock).
