
A group of 23 farmers from Wayanad district, Kerala attended one day training programme on AMC use and its application in Coffee and Black Pepper ecosystem, at KVK Gonikoppal on 25th October 2019. The farmers were given classes on method application of AMC and its impact in pepper plants. The different sessions were handled by Dr. Saju George Principal Scientist and Head KVK, Mr. Prabhakara B SMS(Horticulture), Mr. Veerendra Kumar K.V SMS (Plant pathology), Mr. Devaiah K.A SMS(Horticulture) on different aspects of AMC application, improved production technology in Coffee and Black Pepper, and nursery production in Black Pepper.
Practical training classes were conducted in KVK Athur farm. Some of the farmers were already using AMC in their plantations in Wayanad district and others wanted to adopt AMC in their plantations, to improve the plant health of pepper crop.
