ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gonikoppal, Kodagu conducted Parthenium awareness programme on 20th August 2019, in and around the KVK Athur farm campus. Dr. Saju George, KVK Head spoke about the various health hazards of parthenium weed to the laborers and staff member. Later gloves and mask were distributed and a cleaning drive was conducted for the removal of the parthenium from the farm campus and road side.

The parthenium awareness message was also circulated in social media where over 1000 farmers were made aware of the importance of eradication of parthenium weed.
