Six days Pashu Sakhi training programme at ICAR-KVK Kodagu


A six days collaborative training programme was organised by Karnataka State Sanjeevini through Department of Animal husbandry and Veterinary Services, Zilla Panchayath and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gonikoppal from 4th – 9th December 2032. The objective of programme was to reach the animal husbandry farmers with various schemes of central and state sector through the service of Pashu Sakhi's. The programme was inaugurated by Sri. Dhanaraj, Chief Secretary & Project Director, Kodagu Zilla Panchayath. Dr. Venkatesh, State Programme Officer, KSRLPS, Govt. of Karnataka, Joint Director of AH &VS. Dr. C.P. Thimmaiah, Deputy Director (Poly Clinic), Dept. of AH&VS, Kodagu District participated as Chief guest and spoke on the roles and responsibilities of Krishi Sakhi's in association with the Department.

Mr. Prabhakar, Head(I/C), KVK, Kodagu spoke on the relevance of the programme and encash it's benefit through strengthening of knowledge and sharing of information among the farming community. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Shanthesh, Additional Director, Dr. Girish, Veterinary. Doctor, Dr. Naveen of Dept. Of AH&VS. In the programme, the officials of NRLM of Kodagu District and 54 Pashu Sakhi's of Virajpet and Ponnampet taluk were present.
