A cross learning programme was arranged for the staff of ICAR-KVK, Kottayam at ICAR-KVK, Kodagu on 10th Nov. 2023. Mr. Prabhakara Head, KVK Kodagu welcomed the team and interacted with Dr. Jayalekshmi Head, KVK Kottayam and her staff regarding the on-ongoing activities, special programmes and infrastructure developments at KVK Kodagu. Later, they visited the KVK laboratories and demonstration units at KVK Kodagu farm at Athur.

In the second half, a field visit was arranged to the farm of Krishi Pandit Awardee farmer Shri. Ravishankar at Ponnampet. The Kottayam team interacted with the farmer about his innovation in 30 different paddy varietal conservation, seed production and the coffee based mixed farming system (coffee, Black pepper, fruit crops, vegetable crops, Composite fish culture, Bee keeping). Both the KVKs had a fruitful interaction and knowledge sharing among the KVK staff.
