A one day training programme on packing and labelling of value added products was conducted for 25 members of Maldare and Bittangala Farmers producers organization of ODP(NGO) on 22nd September 2023. The importance and objective were highlighted by the John, coordinator of the ODP-NGO, Mysore. Mr. Prabhakar, Head(I/c), KVK interacted with the trainees on reducing the gap between the producer and consumers for quality foods production and consumption through scientific processing and value addition interventions.

Smt. Rashmi Bhanuprakash, an entrepreneur participated as resource person and delivered a class on processing and value addition of important crops, different packing technique and food grade plastic, tin materials used for packing of foods, proper labelling with nutritional content, recipes of food preparation, putting lot no., expiry date, MRP and importance of FSSAI procedures to avail the unique code for proper marketing of packed and value-added food.
