One day training programme was conducted on 24nd June 2019 at ICAR-KVK Gonikoppal, Kodagu in collaboration with PUTARI a farmers producers organisation, on improved production technologies in coffee and black pepper. Around 90 farmers from the FPO attended the training programme. Shri. Darmaraj a progressive planter from Balupet, Hassan district and Dr. Venugoppal, retired Head IISR Apangala were the expert for the event. Chief executive officer of PUTARI FPO Mr. Ponnana welcomed the dignitaries and the farmers during the programme. Dr. Saju Principal Scientist and head KVK Gonikoppal gave a brief introduction about the objectives of the programme. President of the PUTARI FPO Mr. Subayya K.P presided over the function.

Mr. Darmaraj spoke about the improved cultivation practices in coffee (Arabica and Robusta) in the morning session, In the afternoon session Dr. Venugoppal spoke about the improved production technologies in Black pepper including improved varieties, nutrient and disease management.
