ICAR-KVK Kodagu in collaboration with ATMA, Kodagu organised the Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari programme as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav India @ 75 programme on 26th April 2022. In the exhibition organised more than 200 farmers from the district attended the programme. The mela commenced with the cutting of ribbon by Smt. Chaitra B. Chetan, Gonikoppal G.P President. The farmers visited the 12 stalls step up by various line departments and local research institutes and got information about the products and services of various departments.

Later Shri. Veerendra Kumar, SMS(Plant protection) welcomed all the guest and Dr. Saju George, Principal Scientist & Head spoke about the importance of the programme. The live event telecast was conducted in the seminar hall where about 100 farmers attended the programme. In this programme talk were arranged on natural farming by practicing farmer Shri. Ravi, KVK experts. The DDM NABARD gave a talk on Kisan credit card and distributed he forms for KCC enrolment. Scientist farmers interaction was also organised by involving the local line departments and research institutes. Later field visit was organised to KVK farm.
